Summary
The VR Widgets project was created as a proposal for a virtual reality user interface for O2’s platform. The goal was to adapt the interfaces of familiar digital services, such as social media and banking apps, into widgets that could be used in a virtual reality environment.

About
The design included widgets for apps such as:
Facebook
Messenger
Instagram
X (Twitter)
AirBank
user profile
The project was developed in collaboration with Unity developers to ensure that the designs could be effectively implemented in a VR environment.
Problem
Designing interfaces for virtual reality presents specific challenges.
The interface must be:
easy to control using VR controllers
clear and intuitive in three-dimensional space
flexible enough to adapt to different virtual space sizes

Solution
I designed a modular widget layout system that allows for flexible use of space in a VR environment.
The system included three widget sizes:
Small (S)
Medium (M)
Large (L)
The layout was designed so that:
4 × S = 1 × L
2 × S = 1 × M
This approach made it possible to display most applications in multiple sizes and optimize their display based on the available space in the virtual environment.
The design also included interactive elements for managing widgets:
adding new widgets using the “+” button
removing widgets using the “×” icon
resizing a widget using the resize handle in the corner of the component

Results
This project presents a design for an intuitive and flexible interface for working with applications in virtual reality.
The design demonstrates the possibilities for bringing common digital services into a VR environment and focuses on ergonomic controls, a modular layout, and a clear interface in three-dimensional space.
